AWWWW! I was so sad when I seen that written on the box..." Final trip to Debz" I can't believe 6 months has passed. You certainly have helped ease the pain of this long wait. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I received these packages a few days before Christmas and patiently tucked them under the tree to be opened on Christmas morning.
What wonderful surprises. Thank you Lesa for being my secret pal! I actually figured you out last month with the Texas cookie cutter. Not sure if you seen that post on my blog or not.
Thank you for the book, I didn't have that one. I love the ladybug tote! ( I think It's going to be my new purse for a bit ;O) Yummy mints! Great little snack cups, they will be perfect for Church! Love the Mary Englebriet stuff!! I love her everything. The bib is adorable! The mini groovy girls figurine is sweet. Last but not least is the beautiful Panda baby....I couldn't believe how real it looks! It WILL be something to cuddle with during the long wait, and I don't blame you for ordering a couple for the girls. I was sitting on the floor yesterday and looked threw the tree beside an ornament that says Faith and I could see the dolls face which was sitting on the bay window....it really blessed me to see it there. Shane held it like a real baby and walked into the kitchen when his mom and dad arrived and his mom near hit the roof! You should have seen the look on her face! It was priceless....goes to show ya how real it looks!
Thank you for the Christmas card with the picture of Wendy in it. She is absolutely beautiful. I didn't know that you had two other daughters also! We will have to stay in touch for sure. Thanks once again for making this wait bearable.

What a wonderful Pal you have been!! Our family has enjoyed each and every package. Not to mention our dear Postman! He didn't know what the S.P. stood for until I explained our adoption and that we were doing the exchange to pass the time.
Evey time the older guy would come with your package he would say "I know what this is!". It actually made me more excited myself, and I already was excited enough.

Wendy cried when we made her wait until daddy got home. It was worth it though.

We had our air mattress out and all of the girls got down on it to open ours up. Dad took the photos. Not a one of us had makeup on and weren't prepared for the photo session. Mike also ate his gift before I could get his photo. He did share with Wendy.

The drum is something I have looked at each time I'm at Target, but is also something I have put back and have said Later maybe. So, that was a real treat to get, and if I knowing how Wendy was as a baby I know Mylie will be very happy with it.

Wendy, being a real jokester, pulled hers out and with out really looking at it said "All I got was UNDER WEAR!".....we about died!!!! She has been watching Polar Express and one of the children comes up with that. Once she found out it was an apron and chef hat she was very excited. Lacy told her she could wear them while we bake today.....that made her even more excited.
I'll post one of her in her own kitchen.

Lacy and Holly truly appreciated the lotion, lip balm, and nail file. They have actually been using my lotion...now they have their own.

Mike just loves Maple Syrup as do we all, but he really does!! We will think of you on Christmas morning as we have it with breakfest.

I above everyone am very grateful for such a wonderful pal. You have helped me get through some pretty stressful moments. I just love my Crystal Ladybug!!! I will always think of you every time I look at it. I haven't seen one like this at all. It is very unique.

Now, believe me when I say I didn't have a clue it was you. You know there are several from Canada. Of course we knew you were from Canada....could help it, but never put two and two together.

Please stay in touch. I know we would love to come and visit you someday. Who knows we may meet in China. One never knows how things will go in the future, and our times may over lap there.

We are planning a move and once we are settled I will send you our new address privately along with our phone #. My husband is getting a promotion in position and we are looking forward to our move. There will be plenty of time to get settled at this rate before we travel for Mylie.

I just had to do a before picture of these gifts because I loved the ladybug wrapping paper! I very skillfully removed the paper cause I wanted to recycle it! My niece loves ladybugs too and I thought I'd wrap something in it just for fun. See the note on the bottom left? It says "Just a little hint to let you know where I'm from".

I was so excited to see the gymboree box! I love their stuff! The little note pad went straight to work helping me organize my Christmas shopping. Darling wash cloth! The frame is sweet it says family on it, and a little ladybug card holder that you can paint. There is also a little travel pack with baby care items in it which will come in handy for travel. Last but not least is the hint on where my secret pal is from and to tell you the truth the shape didn't give it away but the "Lone Star" in the middle did! Hello Texas! Thank you once again secret pal you made my day.

I want you to know that you are the Best Secret Pal!! I absolutely love all of my new Ladybug items!!! You are finding things I have never found before; of course it could be because of where you are from.
Wendy really likes her Yo Yo and has been trying really hard at making it go. I have to say this is one of the first Yo Yo's I've been able to get to go for me.
We love the ladybug bank, ladybug blow up stool for Mylie, the ladybug blanket is great, and I love the little ladybug candles.
I can't believe we are nearing the end, but as they say all good things must come to an end..... We really have enjoyed receiving the packages you have so carefully thought out.
She really loves her doll, Oki! You are very sweet to send things to her. She so looks forward to every package. I just have to let her open all of the packages, and it is so much fun to watch her get excited about items for her baby sister, Mylie.

Thanks Secret Pal for the fun gifts! It really made my day to find all these treats on my doorstep. The book Ladybug, Ladybug is darling, it glows in the dark. The body and bath is *PUMPKIN SPICE*!!!! My like-a-dat! There was a yummy apple cinnamon flavor lip gloss, an orange lolly pop! SWEET! A pumpkin bowl and bib for bebe a click lock toy, a stuffed crinkly plush camera for bebe to take pictures of mommy and daddy when they are taking pictures of her. A flower shaped ice pack with a cute little ladybug on it and Halloween tissues. Secret pal you are such a blessing to me. Thanks for giving me something to look forward to during this wait. Hugz

Hello Secret Pal! I received your package last week, but - alas - I was in a car accident on Tuesday, so... Sorry for the delayed thank you. Everything (the car and the storm drain I hit) and everyone (me, DD and the furry animal I swerved around) is fine, but things were just a tad crazy with DH out of town and me dealing with the car and some minor whiplash.

I just love all of the scrapbook pages! The book "Just Add One Chinese Sister" is great, but I have changed it a little to " Just Add One MORE Chinese Sister". grin
Wendy really loved her stickers, and Smurf character. Everyone appreciated the boxes of Candy....all of the big girls were home to get theres! I gave mine to Miss Wendy since she was wanting it so. LOL My absolute favorite item you sent was the Monogrammed Bib for Mylie!!!!! This is her first piece of Monogramming so far. I really LOVE it!!! I had a hard time undoing it from the package since it was so nicely done.

Thank you so much SP for all of the Halloween goodies this month! How fun were all of those packages to open! I truly was so excited to see the cookie cutters for Halloween as we are having a party for the girls on the 20th and these will be fabulous for that event along with the candy! LOVED the shirt....since we have all "ghouls" in our house, how appropriate! :) The goodies for the girls and the book and game and glow in the dark goodies for Aleah and Mulan 2 are fantastic. On Tuesdays and Thursdays Aleah is home with me and we do "pre-school" homeschool. The card game will be wonderful to add to our pre-school "work"! Aleah once again said, "Ohhhh I LOVE your Secret Pal". She is a candy monster! :) The card was awesome too along with the lady bugs.....you and I must have the same sense of humor because that was a hoot! Love, love, love the package you sent this month. My daughter adored the computer game ... she is just now entering the tech world, so she felt VERY grown-up "working" on the computer. The stuffed panda is wonderful as well -- we didn't have one, but I've gifted it to others who've adopted from China. Now we have one as well! Great minds think alike! The ladybug book and Safari Friends toys are wonderful as well. I especially love the eyes on the book. What a lot of fun.
We've been doing well these past few months, slugging along through the wait. I feel like we are half-way there, which I guess helps a bit.

I am going to get photos downloaded later today, but I received my sept gift yesterday and I had to write a thank you to my pal!

I wanted to thank you for the gifts which were awesome! The bib clips are so cool and I have never seen those before! Love the asian bib, and of course the placemats are great!

What I wanted to thank you for the most this month is the time and thoughtfulness that goes into each one of your packages! The fact that you take the time to give me special facts and information on all things China! I absolutely was touched by the recipes you sent in this package! Honestly, this wait has been so hard, but I can honestly say that I can't believe how thoughtful you have been in putting these amazing packages together, it really means a lot to me! I wanted you to know that things have been hectic here, I'm going back to work for a while, so I have been a bit neglegent at posting, but I promise to be better!

Ok I will have to post pictures later as my camera battery died and you know it is one of those special ones...so after robbing all of the remotes in the house I realized they wouldn't work! :)

Dearest SP....thank you so much for last months gifts and this months. I am belatedly thanking you but it is no less heartfelt! I am sorry for my lateness! I LOVED the ladybut bank....especially from where it came from....those types of things are so meaningful and are totally in line with what I like to do. So thank you....that was very special.

Thank you so much for the goodies you sent this month.. I took the girls to school this morning and stopped by the mailbox on the way home and found a wonderful surprise. Aleah immediately spied the little rolling suitcase....she said "Mimi....I LOVE your secret pal!" I made her wait to open it until I got a picture and then the battery died...so she is happily playing with it now. I also have to let you know I have the same dress for Aleah....so this is fantastic....similiar tastes and IF we ever are able to get our baby home before Aleah grows out of the dress they can match! :) Which I have enjoyed frustrating my girls by matching them! :) I get by with it as long as they will let me....the older girs at 11 and almost 14 of course will have no part of that now!

The girls are taking their lunch quite a bit to school and will use the Hello Kitty ice packs....another good use is a "boo-boo" cold pack! Thank you so much for everything and also the note.....once again...I truly appreciate the time and learning more about your family. Thank you again SP so much....I look forward to learning more about you and your family over the next couple of months.

It is like you have known me forever! My love for Ladybugs, and now my love for the Moon. I can't tell you how excited I was to get your package today. Wendy knew the total routine of the photo shoot we do.
First of all let me tell you thank you for the beautiful Moon ornament. I have been to the Cloisonnes Factory in China, and didn't see one like this. It is very unique.
I can't wait to play the lullaby music for Mylie.....I may have to try it out on Wendy.
I have never seen a night light like this one. How neat to have a large moon night light hanging in the nursery. My pal also sent me a sweet moon frame for one of my first photos of Mylie. I haven't gotten a frame until you sent this one. The booties are absolutely adorable I just can't wait for her to wear them!! Wendy tore into her package and was excited to see that she gets to make her own moon frame. I can tell you she really thought the lolly was yummy.

Thank you for being there for me. Your notes are always sweet and you never fail to ask how I'm holding up. Some days better than others. I know we have Wendy to keep us busy, but I still ache to hold my little Mylie Camille. Not to mention, I can't wait to see Wendy with her baby sister!
I hope you and your family are holding up through all of this. If this is your first adoption or even your first child ever I can tell you it will be so well worth it in the end. We will have something to tell our little ones thats for sure.

Kristin's Favorite Bed Time Story

A long time ago, a man and a woman lived together in a house. They had a dog that they they adored but they longed for a daughter. After deciding to adopt, they spent several months assembling paperwork and wrote a letter to China asking to adopt a girl that would become their daughter.
During this time, the woman joined a group of other women who were waiting to become mommies. They became known as the Junebugs. One of the fun things that they did was participate in a Secret Pal exchange. One Secret Pal lived in Canada & she sent many cute outfits and toys for this child the mom and dad wished for. After a year, this secret pal revealed herself and the soon to be mommy had another Secret Pal.
This pal must have sensed that this mommy was tired and pampered her w/ lotion & bodyspray. The mommy & daddy went on vacation which was needed because they both worked extra hours. While they slept, they dreamed of their daughter twirling around with "4th of July" hairbows in her hair. They also dreamed of tucking their daughter into bed wearing the comfy pj's that the secret pal sent. This dream continued for some time.
And now, we are looking at this beautiful girl. She still has her hairbows in & she is dancing in her pjs, almost ready for bed. Good night Sweetheart!

Pictures! Finally!

I finally found my camera cord! Woohoo! Thanks again to my secret pal for the many wonderful gifts this past summer. I hope I remembered to post about each and every one. And now for the long-awaited visuals (except for a few that have been in use already)... The blanket is a 100 Good Wishes blanket and it lists 100 wonderful qualities one would wish a person to embody, like compassion and humor and perseverance, etc. It's wonderful and even matches the nursery color scheme. I can't wait to use the other gifts as well, especially the Mary Kay lotion set, since I can use them sooner rather than later. :) Thanks again, Secret Pal ... you outdid yourself amidst the summer heat! I came home from Madison Wisconsin to a very nice surprise. My SP had sent me a package!! Yeah!!! She's such a great sp. I don't have pictures because my son tore into everything - he was so excited! This time she sent some adorable pink shoes and a cute ladybug rattle for little T, a very pretty picture frame that says "Daddy's Girl" for my dh, some delish soap and a cute as a bug photo album for me, and some water balloon fun, gum, popcorn, slushi mix,Jumungi (the movie!) for the boys. She also sent a baby girl door hanger - so sweet. Thank you SP for thinking of me during such hard times. Your note and extra card were very sweet. These past 8 months have been extremely difficult and we appreciate your kind thoughts and prayers. You mentioned a hairbow holder - no I don't have one of those. Also, I probably did receive the June/July package from you and I am so sorry I didn't say THANK YOU!! As you know that was a rough couple of months. My boys are Tyler who is 17 and a senior this year, and Logan who is 14 and a freshman. You asked about their interests? Ha!! Sports - and for my 17 yr old his girlfriend! Fall baseball starts up this week, then comes wrestling and then spring ball. Other than that they both enjoy country music, the youngest enjoys his Xbox and both boys enjoy watching funny movies. Again, thank you so much for the thoughtful gifts. Receiving them each month has helped me and my family during this wait. You ROCK!!

Thank you very much for the cool scrapbooking stuff! I've looked at "The Story of Me" album several times and just never got around to buying it. I really like it and wanted it, too! I love that you also included the adoption specific pages and the pink accessories like paper and stickers. I do enjoy scrapbooking -- I just don't get much free time to do it :) That's why this is perfect -- I can fill in the blanks quickly, but add to it as I get time! Thank you very much. I will email you with more ideas in the next few days.

Sorry for the delay in thanking you. The kids started school today and I've been running around fixing all the mistakes I made (forgetting their medical paperwork, buying/returning an "illegal" backpack 'cause it had wheels, etc.). Thank you, again, for your very kind gifts month after month!

I was having a pretty rough day when the door bell rang and the post man said " I know what the SP stands for"..... I laughed and told him what we were doing and he said that now he will know to bring these on up to the door. I thought that was pretty sweet of him.
All of my girls were here when I went to open it up and I allowed each of the older girls open one up as well. They enjoyed that so much. Imagine a 19,23,and 3 year old tearing into the tissue wrapped gifts. Lacy my 23 year old opened up the Lion Towel; she is an Alumni or a Sorority that their mascot is the Lion, so she was really excited about Mylie getting Lion items. Holly opened up the Lion outfit, and I got to open her hat. Wendy made us fix the Popsicles for her; she had fun helping Holly do that....lots of fun had by all. By the way..... I just love the paper that you find!! You go way out with my packages and I really appreciate it so much.

Sorry I'm late with my thank you's. But since I know you read my blog cuz you seem to have a pretty good idea of who I am, that shouldn't surprise you. LOL! I'm such a procrastinator. Never intentional but yet, I am.

But seriously... these were waiting when I got home from my trip to Georgia. In all the craziness of getting back on track, I forgot to post a thank you. So here it is now finally. You always pick the cutest things. I love the activity book. The skirt is adorable. And the tees are perfect. I love anything with my girl's name on it. The Chinese love/heart shirt is so sweet. I can see Mia wearing that to preschool on Valentine's Day. Wouldn't that be awesome? Someday....

Hello! I'm such a nitwit - I've lost the camera cord to download pictures to my PC. I've been searching for it for a couple of weeks so that I could post pics. But I still haven't found it, and I'm not ready to buy a new one because I know I'll find it as soon as I do that! Once I find it, I'll backlog all of the photos in a post, so everyone else can see how great they are.

Thank you so much for the July and August gifts you sent. The 100 Good Wishes quilt arrived this weekend and it is as lovely as the dishes you sent a few months earlier! Our eldest keeps trying to claim it, but I have packed it away so that there aren't any "issues" later. :)

The June/July gift is also really great! You can never go wrong with peek-a-boo books and baby photo albums. We love Whoozits at our house, so the Whoozit photo album is great. The outfit is absolutely adorable -- we love "polky dots" at our house, as my daughter likes to say. Bekah should look really cute in it! Thanks also for the "mom" gifts ... with the summer we've had, I can really use these types of "treat myself" gifts. And bath products are always fun!

You must have read my mind! Over the weekend, I cleaned out the "kid cupboard" in my kitchen and was grossed out at how nasty my bottles, baby bowls, bibs, etc. where! Apparently using them for two kids was the limit. It was so gross that I threw most of it away and resigned myself to having to buy all new stuff! Then today your fantastic gift arrived! I was so excited! The three different bibs are beautiful and soooo girly -- completely unlike anything I own. I love Playtex nurser bottles and nipples. They've always been my personal favorite, and they are so cute in pink and purple. The bowls, lids and spoons will be used all the time -- and I really needed them, too. And the pink sippy cup will be used daily, I'm sure! The pacifiers you sent were so cool! She will look so cute with the little bumblebee and ladybug popping out of her mouth. I always look forward to your gifts, and this month was no exception. I am totally in love with the tiny green and purple striped bathing suit (no pink - yeah!) and the matching cover up. I love how the stripes are repeated on the hood of the terry cloth robe. Ruby will be the most stylish babe at the beach, thanks to you! The beach/sand toys were an added bonus. In my mind I can see her making sand castles in her cutie pie swimsuit, the butt sagging from a Little Swimmer. Just like you, I can't wait for that dream to become reality.

Of course, the book goes on the shelf with the rest of my mini-library. I believe you have single-handedly filled one entire shelf of that bookcase, and for that I am eternally grateful.

C is out of town on vacay this week with her mom, so the funky rings have a place of honor on her dresser. Thank you for including her in the monthly exchange, it really makes her feel like she's a part of this process.

I hope this month has you out of Review Room and into the Matching Room. Even though we may be on the bottom of the pile, it's one step forward to our girls!

The cute little outfit with the ladybugs on the pant leg is really sweet. I love the head scarf that goes with it. Thank you for the graduated size. There is no telling how big Mylie will be when we get her, but even if she is small like we hope for it will come in handy to have ready. I just love it!
The best of all, and that is a close tie with the others, is the Ladybug Measurer. I have never seen one like this and it made a big hit with everyone in the family!!! I can't wait to fit it on the nursery wall.

I copied this straight from my own blog A Million Miles To Mia. I'm sorry I'm so overdue in thanking my Secret Pal. I love every single one of your gifts and appreciate the thought you put into them. I'm glad we kept on for a bit longer. It does make the wait just a tad easier. :)

I'm slacking about everything these days and it seems that I've forgotten to thank my Secret Pal. This was my wonderful May gift that I failed to post on the blog about. But better late than never, right? My Secret Pal pays attention. She knows about my deep love of all things penguin. Check out these Robeez! Are these not the most adorable things evah?! I also got some cool penguin bookmark clips and some Chinese flag Jibbitz for my Crocs. Love all of it.

This month was a fun in the sun theme. Look at that cute little bikini. Can't wait to put Mia in that with her sweet little flip flops and movie star shades. My Secret Pal also included some Barbie arm floaties and some Dora sidewalk chalk. Can't wait for the days when I can take my girl to the pool. We'll definitely be taking swimming lessons as soon as possible. Oh crap... that means I gotta put on a bathing suit, too. I guess I better stop slacking on the diet then. LOL! Hi,
Yesterday I came home and found that I had missed the mail man. Today
is June 1st and I had to go to the Post Office to pick it up. You see
I thought you were my old SP sending my May package. I was worried
about being a day late at opening it to be able to count it for May.
When I opened it up it said "Hi Lesa I'm your NEW SP". It surprised
me. I am happily surprised though!! I handed Wendy hers with the "W"
on top and my daughter Holly opened the one for Mylie with the "M" on
top and of course I opened the one with the "L".
Wendy was so delighted to see her scented dough and it has the neatest
fire engine and people with it!
Holly, opening Mylie's, revealed a Corolle Calin Doll!!! She is so
precious, and I have really been wanting one for Mylie. I am so glad
I haven't bought one so her doll is special from you, my new pal!!
Of course, what can I say I love chocolate and Lindt is fabulous, not
to mention it has Ladybugs on the wrappers!

I had been out all weekend visiting with my June 06 GW group in San Antonio. When I got home it was sitting waiting for me to open. I was so dead tired that I waited until the next day. Wendy and I opened it together.
Wendy absolutely loved the bubble blower!!!! She had a blast making huge bubbles yesterday. I love everything for Mylie. The blanket is so soft, and the cup will be going to China with me if Mylie is old enough to drink from it. Love, love the wacky spoon and fork set! I have been eyeballing the hand print kit. I am thrilled to have one now. I think I will put Mylie's and Wendy's little hands side by side if I can....I think there will be enough room for both.

I love coming home from a weekend away and finding presents!! My secret pal sent the most beautiful spring clothes! Many thanks to my secret pal who surprises me every month. How cute is the bunny that says prayers in English & French. I took French in high school but I forgot quite a bit. The onesie is so cute & our daughter will enjoy the cd. And then there are the ladybug chocolates...does that mean that our referral will be coming soon?

I laughed when I saw the chick ornament w/ the ladybug on it. When I was a child, I wanted a pet so much, but my parents said know. I remember going on a field trip & seeing chicks hatching. After coming home, I talked to my brother who agreed to help me. My mom just came home from a farmer w/ dozens of eggs. We grabbed a dishpan & cracked open the eggs looking for out pet baby chick. Years later, I told my mother-in-law, who was a cook at the daycare that we went to. She told me that she remembered my brother who wandered into the kitchen & started cracking the eggs. She explained to him that the eggs did not have any chicks in.

One of the best surprises was the slide show. It is not easy to surprise me, but I love it when someone does. Thank you for making my day!

Where do you find these awesome gifts? Compared to what you send me, I feel like I'm a boring pal I have to say. My dh even hangs around to watch me open the gifts because they are always so cool. This month was no different. I have to say though, we opened the gift for Sarah as she probably won't be home from college again until Memorial Day weekend. I let her know what it was though. She thought is was cool. (you know she LOVES anything that has to do with princesses) Anyway, thank you again for everything especially your heartfelt note. I agree with the bible verse you chose.. Hebrews 6:15 "And so after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was promised". You are so right, if Abraham and Sarah waited 100 years before receiving their precious son, then surely we can endure the wait of yet another year to receive our daughters.

Is this book cool or what. At the bottom are 14 different squares
of material. You lift the lid and place the square on the girl then
close the lid and ta da.. she has on a new outfit.

Love these PJs. Fit for a princess for sure.

can't wait to find a beautiful shelf in Maddy's room
to put them on. (when I get around to doing her room)

Thanks so much to my secret pal, for all the easter treats! I'm going to add a photo later, we are doing renovations and I have to charge my camera, everything is such a mess! ANYWAY, we got some cute little chocolate bunnies for the boys, they say a huge thanks! And an egg decorating kit which is from the movie Cars, which is definitely a favorite around here! LOVE the chocolate milk powder, and the tin it came in! AND, the towels are ADORABLE with little embroidered bunnies! My first thought of course is, how with a husband and two boys can I put them out and still have them white after the first day! HMMMMMM? I'll have to think on that one. And I absolutely love the bunny hair barrettes for Mia, they really are cute! As always, you have great taste, and give me that little pick me up when I need it most!

i had that rough day you referred to a couple months ago and it required both chocolate and that extra special gift you sent. i love the little figurine. it's already got a spot in my display cabinet. i've looked at it daily since opening it and it always makes me smile.
things are moving along with vietnam. we just got an email today that said to start getting ready. we should hear about travel any day now. can't wait!!

Hi Dear PAL!

So sorry for my slight delay in posting this. My MIL became quite ill suddenly so we have been out of town a bit. I received your package last Tuesday April the 10th.

March's gift was all about baby care items. The box was full of so much stuff. Just to name a few, nail clippers, a grooming set, medicine dispenser, teething gel, diaper ointment and much more. I am telling you, I am not going to have to buy a thing for my precious daughter as you are going to have me all prepared! I LOVE IT!!

As always, Thanks for including my boys!! They loved their candy with game dispensers. They think you rock too!!

I finally got the photos downloaded.
I want you to know how much we love all of the little outfits!! I love the bright colors chosen. It is like you know what we like. Ladybugs are always welcome! Everyone has had a fit over that little dress, and the yellow outfit is so vibrant and beautiful.

Wendy loved getting her Easter chalk. Sorry there isn't a photo of her with it, but she ripped into it before I could get a photo of her with it. She has this little Fisher Price lap desk that was Holly's many a year ago, and it has a storage box just for the chalk....that is where it is so she can use it with her desk; as she says " I'm doing my school work now".

Ohhh... Secret pal, I owe you so many Thank you's!! I want you to know that I really appreciate your thoughtfulness. I am posting many pictures today... First, I have the little Asian dress which was one of the things from the "Chinese New Year" Little red packages. I am also catching up from last month which had a "Spring" theme. (actually it was like spring last month, and has now gone back to winter) and this month was an "Easter" theme. I love the ladybug wind chime, it is already hanging in my garden (no flowers but a cool wind chime). Thanks again my Secret Pal, You are the best!

Thanks so much for all of the wonderful goodies! Abby Mei really enjoyed all of her Easter goodies inside of the adorable basket. Thank you so much for the awesome gifts. You are the best. Yesterday was the best day to receive your gifts. I had been moping all day. I love the pedicure kit. I have already used it. Well, my secret pal has done it again... this month she chose Ladybugs as her theme. I love all the cool stuff you can find with ladybugs on them. This little story book was so cute and I know I will enjoy reading it to Maddy one day. (I also love that you wrote inside the cover) My husband loved the ladybug yo-yo and thought the blankie was extra nice. the shoes/slippers are way to cool too. I love love love love it!!

I'm a sucker for personalized things and adore anything with my girl's name on it. Plus these are my absolute favorite colors.... the combination of pink and green together. Coincidentally, I was just looking at this ladybug line at the Gymboree website the day before this package arrived in the mail. How cool is that? Hello Secret Pal! Thank you so much for the wonderful March gifts. I especially love the ladybug blanket... it feels so soft and will be perfect for our trip to China to adopt Bekah Bei (yes, we finally decided on a name!). Bei means seashell in Mandarin, but it connotes a meaning of "darling/ treasure" due to a play on words. So we are totally cheesy, giving our daughter's rhyming names: Abby Mei and Bekah Bei. On our trip, we also plan to take those precious booties, which I absolutely adore! I really appreciate how you selected a scrapbook and a brag book that match our nursery theme; you are so thoughtful! Abby Mei is thrilled with her first ever Barbie doll, especially since the doll is "wearing a New Year shirt, Momma." Your packages always bring a smile and help ease the length of this wait. thank you, thank you secret pal. the outfit you sent could not be more perfect. i love the colors and the fact that there's no pink in it! you have wonderful taste!!
also a big thanks for the fabric squares. heck no, i'm no where near done with the quilt. in fact, i don't even have all the fabric washed and sorted yet. i know, i'm bad. what can i say...i'm really not a sewer so i'm waiting for help in the form of my mother in law.
you asked in your card about our vietnam adoption. it's going well, but we are getting oh so impatient. we have a referral for a beautiful little girl who we want desperatly to hold and love, but we're still waiting for travel approval. she is a very petite little thing at 4.5 months and we are so overjoyed! our delay in travel is due to a paperwork glitch when our doctor's office stamping our medical stuff with 2006 instead of 2007. talk about the ultimate "oops". anyway, things are VERY hectic around our house getting the nursery done and starting to pack for the unknown. it's a strange feeling getting ready to go meet our daughter, but one we are enjoying.

Secret Pal you are the best I absolutely love the little spring outfit. The colors are beautiful and the little frog buttons and little friends on the front are so cutie. The TaGgies Book is a great idea and I love that it was made and designed by an early childhood educator. I will always remember my brother rubbing the satin end of his blanket between his fingers as he sucked his thumb. I can’t wait for Annalise to have this book to comfort her to sleep. I am so sorry, there will be no picture this month. My camera is in need of repair. Nontheless, my SECRET PAL ROCKS!! She spoils me every month. This month I got lots of ladybug stuff! A great ladybug wind flag for my garden, ladybug pagemarkers, a package of adorable onesies (some with ladybugs), a way cute little denim skirt with a cute top with ladybugs, and a darling pair of pink pants with tulip pockets! Thank you SP for the box of goodies! Of course I love everything. But, I must say that my favorite is the butterfly painting. It's adorable!!!! Thank you for the March Gift that arrived yesterday. I love the ladybug outfit! Kaytlin finally has hair long enough for "pretties", and she loves for me to do her hair in pony tails. She was quite excited to see the rick-rack bows. The outfit fits her quite nicely, and I am sure she will wear it throughout the summer. I love that the bloomers go on over her orthotics with no struggle! They are perfect!

To My Wonderful Secret Pal,

Your box arrived yesterday, what a treat.

The Movie Night theme for February is a huge hit with the the entire family! We did not have Mulan II, so the kids were thrilled. We're going to have a "family movie night" tonight and watch it all together. Kaytlin loves her Mulan doll! I hadn't been able to find one yet.

You have sent me the mose delicious snacks! The Chocolate Turtle Chex mix is wonderful! I couldn't resist and opened it last night for a "sneak peak". Yummy! And, since it is Chex Cereal...I figure I can count it as a "healthy" snack! :) The kids love the mini bags of popcorn. I usually let the older two each have their own bag, they feel so grown up then!

Thanks for giving us a good excuse to sit down all together and have a fun evening. With Kaytlin's surgery and the complications that came with it, we haven't done much of that lately...and we need to!

Thank you Secret Pal for all the great gifts. I set the tea set out and it looks so cute with her stuffed ladybug. I really like the heart shaped tea set and it will go even better once I've painted the room pink. I've always wanted a little girl to have tea parties with and play dolls. Although it seems like the wait it such a long time, we'll be in China before we know it.

My husband enjoyed the chocolates, since he doesn't get sweets very often. The heart charm is precious, as my little girl will always be in my heart. Thank you again.

I finally found my camera cord and was able to download pictures of all of the great goodies from my Secret Pal. They are in consecutive order from November through Feb

November 2006 - "Pamper Package" following my surgery.
December 2006 - "Christmas"
I love the bib and the ornament, C loved her T-shirt

January 2007 - "Practical"
Lots of travel goodies - spoons, sippies, and of course a book! The bib received it's own pic, but blogger's being a poop and I can't get it to rotate the right way. Soon!

February 2007 - Chinese New Year
Every month I rave about how great my SP is, and every month it just gets better and better. However, the temptation to peek at the post mark is killing me. B won't let me look and endures my guesses about who this person is. Here's what I speculate:
1. My SP is someone who is thorough and meticulous.
2. My SP is a woman near my age, maybe a little younger.
3. My SP reads my blog and pays close attention my self-absorbed ramblings.

I am still speculating and wondering and can't wait to find out the identity of this person who knows me so well! Thank you SP, you're the best!

I have the best Secret Pal. Thanks for the great clothes. As you can see Liam has some growing room. This is great. They will last the whole summer. He is pretty sick in this picture. All the kids have been running high fevers all week. So we have been dressing them in shorts and short sleeve shirts. So your gift was very timely since we only have one pair of shorts for him, and he has been wearing his sister's shorts.

All I can say is "oh my goodness". My secret pal really outdid herself this month. I could not believe all the beautiful asian gifts to remind us of Chinese New Year. Also, not sure if this was on purpose or not, but the colors are perfect. (scarlet and gray with a little bit of black) :-) I absolutely love the book too.
